FOR SALE is a one-owner 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera M491 Turbo-Look with just 15,000 original miles. Originally sold new by Sunnyvale Porsche Audi on January 17, 1985, this car has remained with the same owner since new and is one of the most original and best-preserved M491s we have ever come across.
This example was special ordered by the original owner and finished in a stunning color combination of Meteor Grey Metallic over Burgundy Leather. Combined with the factory Turbo-Look package, it is an exceptionally rare and desirable specification.
What makes this car truly stand apart is the level of originality and documentation. Included are the original window sticker, original sales contract, dealer paperwork, warranty booklet, owner’s manuals, maintenance booklet, decades of service records, spare keys, original Porsche document pouch, original tool kit still stored in its factory bag, original air compressor still in its original box, and even the original Porsche window cleaner that remains unused. The car also comes with period Porsche literature and magazines collected throughout its ownership.
The original owner was incredibly meticulous. The car has been garage kept its entire life, never driven in the rain, and serviced regularly regardless of mileage. It retains 100% of its original paint from 1985, and paint meter readings support that claim. Finding an original paint M491 is rare. Finding a one-owner, 15,000-mile example with complete documentation and accessories from new is almost unheard of.

The M491 Turbo-Look package is one of the most sought-after options Porsche offered during the 1980s. It gave buyers the appearance and hardware of the 930 Turbo while retaining the naturally aspirated 3.2-liter Carrera drivetrain. The package included the factory Turbo wide-body, Turbo brakes, Turbo suspension, front and rear spoilers, and wider Fuchs wheels. Only approximately 341 U.S.-market M491 Coupes were produced for the 1985 model year, making them among the rarest and most collectible Carreras of the era.
